The research conducted by Andrea Bertolini, researcher of Private Law at the Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics, Development) of the Sant'Anna School and by the EURA team will be presented june 11, Friday, before the Legal Service of the European Parliament ( European Center of Excellence on the Regulation of Robotics and AI) directed by him in the field of civil liability and platforms and models of responsibility applied to new technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Law and technology are the central themes of the hearing in the European Parliament during which, with the officials of the Parliament and the European Commission, we will discuss platforms and artificial intelligence that are currently the subject of legislative reform projects.

In 2020, the European Parliament had published two studies carried out by the EURA center of excellence on civil liability and artificial intelligence and liability of online digital platforms. The report that will be presented today by Andrea Bertolini, and which Francesca Episcopo and Nicoleta Angela Cherciu from the EURA team collaborated on, represents a significant focus on online platforms that play a central role in the digital economy. The study is available at the following link: https://bit.ly/3gu3HLs
